Grand Circuit
ART. 1 – DEFINITION.
The “Coupes Moto Légende” is a friendly gathering of vintage motorcycles taking place on May 23rd and 24th, 2026, featuring various activities at the Dijon-Prenois site (21). Its main objective is to encourage the use and knowledge of vintage motorcycles, thereby promoting the preservation of the cultural heritage they represent.
ART. 2 – ORGANIZER.
The Coupes Moto Légende are organised by the company ÉDITIONS LVA (hereinafter “the organiser”), within the framework of these regulations approved by the Fédération Française des Véhicules d'Époque.
ART. 3 – DEMONSTRATIONS.
The "demonstrations" of the Coupes Moto Légende give participants the opportunity to ride their vintage motorcycles on the Dijon-Prenois circuit after their registration has been validated by the organizer. Once validated, this registration is final and non-refundable, even if the participant cancels.
ART. 4 – VEHICLES ADMITTED TO DEMONSTRATIONS.
Any two-wheeled motorized or sidecar motorcycle in good, original condition and manufactured before December 31, 1993 (only for motorcycles meeting the criteria defined by the categories) is eligible to participate in the Coupes Moto Légende demonstrations, after validation of its registration request by the organizer. The organizer retains sole discretion in selecting the vehicles admitted and may refuse participation to machines exhibiting anachronisms, deemed dangerous, or not in keeping with the spirit of the event, without providing justification. The organizer may admit motorcycles manufactured after December 31, 1993, provided they constitute an interesting piece of cultural heritage due to their technology, history, or presentation. Motorcycles registered between December 31, 1993, and December 31, 1998, will not constitute more than 10% of the total number of registered motorcycles.
ART. 5 – REGISTRATION FOR TRACK DEMONSTRATIONS.
To be considered, all applications for demonstrations must be fully completed, including photos of both sides of the motorcycle and payment of the entry fee. Incomplete or unsigned applications will be rejected. The organizer will notify applicants of the validation of their application in due course. Registration is personal and non-transferable. By signing these general regulations, participants confirm that they are the owner of the motorcycle they are registering or have the owner's permission to use the motorcycle during the riding sessions. Participants also declare that they have insurance for the vehicle that complies with current legislation.
ART. 6 – HEALTH.
Participants in the demonstrations declare that, to their knowledge, they do not suffer from any illness or disability that could endanger their own safety or that of other participants.
ART. 7 – VERIFICATIONS.
A general visual inspection of the vehicle will focus on its overall condition and any risks it may pose to others. This does not relieve the participant of their primary responsibility in ensuring the effectiveness of the braking and steering systems, the good condition of the tires, the absence of oil leaks (with a recovery system in case of "total loss" lubrication), the secure attachment of accessories (exhaust, kickstand, etc.), and that no sharp, protruding, or cutting elements present a danger (protective measures). The organizer may, without refunding the registration fee, refuse entry to any motorcycle whose condition or appearance is deemed incompatible with safety. Any participant entering the track with a motorcycle that does not match the one described on the registration form risks immediate exclusion and prosecution in the event of an incident on the track.
ART. 8 – CATEGORIES.
For the demonstrations, the motorcycles will be grouped into categories, defined by the organizer and taking into account the age, power and type of the motorcycles.
ART. 9 – AUTHORIZED DRIVERS.
Any adult driver registered for track days is permitted. Any registered participant lending their motorcycle to a third party risks prosecution and immediate exclusion. Participants agree not to have consumed alcohol, drugs, or any medication that could impair their driving ability before entering the track.
ART. 10 – DRESS CODE.
We remind you that riding a motorcycle on a track requires appropriate clothing. In particular, wearing a full-face helmet, back protector, high boots, and gloves is strongly recommended.
ART. 11 – ATTITUDE ON THE TRACK.
During demonstrations, any notion of competition or speed is strictly excluded, and timing is prohibited. Drivers must adhere to this principle and know how to limit their speed, take into account the circuit's challenges, respect other participants, braking distances, racing lines, and the signage provided by track staff. The organizer will immediately and without warning exclude any driver deemed dangerous for the entire duration of the event.
ART. 12 – ACCESS TO THE TRACK.
Motorcycles enter the track by category according to the established schedule, at the organizer's call, after a mandatory pre-grid check. Access to the track is prohibited to accompanying persons and, in general, to spectators, children, pets, and any breakdown vehicles, except those provided by the organizers.
ART. 13 – PASSENGER.
Passengers are strictly prohibited. However, the sidecar category allows a co-pilot in the “basket”.
ART. 14 – CATEGORIES CANCELLED.
In the event that, due to force majeure (bad weather, track incident, etc.), one or more categories have to be cancelled, participants agree not to claim any compensation from the organizer.
ART. 15 – PARTICIPANT INSURANCE.
The organizer's responsibility is limited to providing the circuit's infrastructure as stipulated in the rental agreement with the circuit owners. The organizer has taken out insurance covering its civil liability towards third parties and participants in the event of any breach of contract related to the organization (pursuant to Decree No. 2006-554 of May 16, 2006). For the track activity offered by the organizer, the latter has taken out insurance covering bodily injury (death, disability, medical expenses) suffered by participants during the event. The terms of the policy are available from the organizer. Off the track, the organizer cannot be held liable in the event of intentional or fraudulent misconduct by a driver or in the event between a participant and a third party unrelated to the event. Liability for third-party liability arising from the use of a motor vehicle off the track is covered by the owners themselves. Each driver and participant has a duty to check with their insurer the exact scope of the guarantees purchased.
ART. 16 – INSURANCE FOR EXHIBITORS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS.
The organizer has taken out insurance covering the exhibitors' civil liability towards third parties, including visitors, for the duration of the event, including setup and teardown, and exclusively on the event site. Exhibitors (clubs, advertisers, professionals, etc.) are responsible for their own personal belongings; the organizers cannot be held liable in this regard. The insurance taken out by the organizer does not cover loss, theft, or damage to their personal property.
ART. 17 – EXHIBITOR SPACES.
A tent village and a swap meet are available, subject to prior, non-transferable registration. Exhibitors must provide the organizer with all requested identification documents and comply with the setup guidelines. The organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to the exhibitor areas to any person or activity that does not align with the spirit of the event or has not registered in advance. Exhibitors are prohibited from transferring or sharing, whether for payment or free of charge, all or part of their space.
ART. 18 – EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION.
To be considered, all applications for registration in the village or at the exchange fair must be fully completed, accompanied by the required documents and the registration fee. Incomplete applications will be returned. The organizer will notify applicants of the validation of their registration in a timely manner. Registrations are final and non-refundable, even in the event of cancellation by the participant.
ART. 19 – LIABILITY OF EXHIBITORS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS.
The exhibitor or service provider acknowledges that their participation in the Coupes Moto Légende may damage the image of the event and its organizers in the event of defective performance of their obligations to the public during their activity. They therefore undertake to strictly comply with all regulations specific to their activity and to fully indemnify the organizers against any consequences should their liability be directly sought by a third party due to any breach by the exhibitor. Furthermore, exhibitors selling spare parts that could pose a danger in the event of a fall, or even cause one, undertake in particular to place them at a sufficient distance from the aisles to ensure the safety of visitors. It is also reiterated that exhibitors are strictly prohibited from bringing flammable or explosive products onto the premises, with the exception of fuel from the tanks of vehicles participating in the event, and any other hazardous products, particularly those containing asbestos, which may under no circumstances be offered for sale. Exhibitors are required to maintain their stands until the end of the event.
ART. 20 – CLUBS AREA.
A special area is reserved for clubs. Upon registration, the organizer will, as far as possible, allocate them a space corresponding to the number of motorcycles they will be bringing, giving them the opportunity to order discounted tickets. Visiting the stands is free and open to all visitors who wish to do so, without restriction. Any commercial activity, public relations exercise, or anything that does not align with the spirit of the event is prohibited in this area. The organizer may refuse any registration that does not correspond to the spirit of the event or the era of the motorcycles permitted. The organization of evening concerts is not allowed, nor is the sale of food or drinks, nor the use of a caterer other than the one provided by the organizers.
ART. 21 – EQUIPMENT ENTRUSTED.
Any damage to or loss of equipment rented or entrusted to participants, exhibitors or clubs will be charged to them.
ART. 22 – PHOTOS AND FILMING.
Any filming or photography, whether still or moving, intended for commercial use, is subject to the express authorization of the organizer. Furthermore, by registering, participants agree to be photographed or filmed by the organizer, any organization mandated by the organizer, and the Dijon-Prenois Circuit, and that these images may be freely used for promotional or advertising purposes.
ART. 23 – PARKING/TRANSPORT/LIGHTS.
Visitors, participants, exhibitors, and service providers must comply with all posted signage. Movement within the circuit must be at a maximum speed of 20 km/h, respecting the traffic flow and parking allocation plan. All riders within the circuit must wear appropriate protective gear that complies with current regulations. The use of mini-motorcycles is strictly prohibited. Campfires and all open flames are prohibited.
ART. 24 – DAMAGES/THEFT.
The organization cannot be held responsible for any damage or theft occurring to parked vehicles, or any other exhibited item, during the event, from its setup until its conclusion.
ART. 25 – ADVERTISING.
The organizers may enter into any agreement with partners of their choice and display their advertising wherever they deem appropriate, including on a plaque affixed to participating motorcycles or on a race number worn by the riders, who will accept these measures. Any advertising appearing on motorcycles or riders that pertains to a brand of tobacco or alcoholic beverage is prohibited.
ART. 26 – OBJECTS, PROSPECTUSES.
Objects of any kind, as well as brochures, leaflets, catalogues, etc., may only be distributed by exhibitors at their stand.
ART. 27 – CANCELLATION.
In the event of cancellation for any reason, including administrative bans imposed due to serious events and/or decided by an authority with powers in matters of security or public order, exhibitors and participants will be reimbursed for any deposits paid. The organizer will not be liable for any compensation in the event of cancellation, regardless of the reason.
ART. 28 – REGULATIONS.
This event is a friendly gathering, and participants are asked to respect its convivial atmosphere. By attending, each participant accepts without reservation these rules and any written or oral instructions given by the organizers before and during the event.
